Roweena Mackay
Literary Manager & Resident Dramaturg

Roweena Mackay met artistic directors Jacob Knoll and Jeff Barry in 2005 at the Yale School of Drama: they were acting in new plays (and directing them c/o the Yale Cabaret), and she was dramaturging them. After leaving the east coast to teach at the University of New Mexico, (and research some rather obscure northern New Mexico theatre history), Roweena moved to New York and spent three fruitful years working as a dramaturg/producer for Bone Orchard. She became the literary manager and resident dramaturg for the Miscreant Theatre Company in January 2010. In addition to miscreantizing, she also works as a script supervisor on the web series Anyone But Me, and is venturing out into the world of film production. Her favourite theatre credit to date? Working with August Wilson on Radio Golf at Yale Repertory Theatre. Roweena grew up in England, but was raised on American theatre. mackay.roweena@gmail.com
